knowing Jesus knows
For some reason, I started out writing something and it came in chunks of this, below. Take it as you like, as something you can "know" from me. Or something. I've been having a plodding-along-kind-of week.
The knowing that no one truly knows but Jesus.
Remembering this, remembering working through this,
remembering working through understanding this
this past year.
I didn't know a friend as I thought I knew.
Friends I've known, or thought I'd known, that they knew me.
That I could be known, and known better by them than I knew myself.
Now I know I needed Jesus, Jesus knew me best.
Jesus knows me best and Jesus stays friends best.
Now I know friends can know friends,
can know friends longer
when both friends know Jesus.
The knowing that no one truly knows but Jesus.
Remembering this, remembering working through this,
remembering working through understanding this
this past year.
I didn't know a friend as I thought I knew.
Friends I've known, or thought I'd known, that they knew me.
That I could be known, and known better by them than I knew myself.
Now I know I needed Jesus, Jesus knew me best.
Jesus knows me best and Jesus stays friends best.
Now I know friends can know friends,
can know friends longer
when both friends know Jesus.
