neutralizing

Hi friends.

For some reason, I wanted to greet everyone staring at this screen right now--as long as you don't start imagining that I have a web-cam. A few years ago, I was so uninformed and gullible about the whole web-cam phenomenon that I believed my friend Eric when he told me he was looking at me through his web-camera. From a guy who is semi-creepy on his own--without the help of spy and stalker-gadgets--, I could not get over the thought of him staring at me without my being able to know or see him... It hadn't registered then that, in order for him to see me, I needed to have my own web-camera.

Don't worry. None of that here (though, if you are thinking about purchasing a web-cam, why not order the highly-creepy stuffed animal-disguised web-camera that Megumi found and posted a link to on her blog???).

Now, I am at somewhat of a loss for what else to say. A few days ago, I posted something on here that was a kind of display of my state of spiritual irritability. I removed the post shortly after writing it, having listened to a sermon message and realizing that the things which bothered me (about other people and other people's words to me) were issues that I needed to work out with God first. I had uncouthly attempted a kind of argument on here, which probably would have only kept me feeling justified in my irritations. I hope my intentional vagueness isn't preventing this from being understandable. For some reason, I feel it necessary to say something about this on here... if you had detected something in me before that was a bit sour, I'd like to say that God is helping to neutralize (and eventually sweeten) that unwelcome taste. But, I'd also like to say that prayer for this would be appreciated. I'm really not sure how far he's gotten, but I'm sure there's an awful lot more work to be done.

P.S. The wisdom teeth are healing up alright, I think. I have only one more Vicodin pill left... sad, sad. Oh, in other news, I won a poetry contest with some money involved. That's pretty exciting.
