cycling tips, anyone?
I'm looking to start biking around where I live. Unfortunately, we've got some pretty hefty hills and curves in these parts--and some not-so-hefty road shoulders. I've been a little uneasy about starting from home-base.
Maybe I need some tips for biking the curves and the hills while still avoiding collisions. Anyone have any to share with this cycler-wannabe?
I ran through 8.3 miles today in my spankin' new shoes. (Who knew "Saucony" was pronounced "Saw-koh-nee"? Runner's World readers?) They're blue and pretty and comfortable, and I didn't have any shin pain or knee strain, so that's good.
P.S. The woman who wouldn't smile last weekend on the Frisco Green Trail, come to find out, is a professor at MSSU. Saw her again today. She seemed pretty focused on her run.

I thought it was "Saw-so-knee"; but then, I run in Asics like all the other cool people ;-)
Congrats on your running. Sounds like you're really do well.
