LOSS of floss, of popcorn, of phones, of scissors
Well, I think my posts have been weird lately. My poems have been strange, therefore my posts have been strange. I need to think about things I've lost recently. I've not lost many things... in fact, I can't really remember what the last thing that I actually lost was--unless the following things count:-A conversation--when the cell-phone connection failed.
-My confidence in a conversation--where confidence would be replaced by embarrassment.
-The internet in my apartment.
-Scissors (and I dreamt that I found tape in the snow... I must have subconsciously replaced tape for scissors -- metonymically -- as they're so related to each other).
Things I've lost more than once over the past year:
-My cell phone, though it's usually in my backpack... once it was wedged in the couch cushions at Kristen's dorm room and the whole couch was vibrating when it rang. Still, that was hard to find.
-A friendship??? ...Dare I mention this one?
-Dental Floss. A strange thing to lose, I know. I like to carry it around sometimes, but forget where I've put it in such circumstances.
Things I wish I could lose:
-Diabetes... Dare I name this? Is this even a thing?
-My huge tin of popcorn (I eat too much of it... well, too much of the caramel kind.)
-Weight? ... Again, dare I give voice to this one?

anyway. it takes GUTS to say what you said...personal stuff. weight, friendship...what got you thinking about stuff you've lost or want to lose?
