sitting next to Nicholas Cage

I seem to be obsessive-compulsive about checking my e-mail. There's no hope for this -- unless I close myself off from the world of computers or something drastic like that.

Last night I asked God to wake me up before my alarm went off so that I could get some hard-core work done on my paper... the paper that I didn't get done last night. He woke me up at 6:47 AM, which was EARLY -- for someone like me, who is used to getting up at 8 or 9 AM. But, I've been productive with the time he's given me (at least up until the past 40 minutes). I'm despairing less, feeling less like a failure today and I'm grateful for that and for those who've been praying for me. Some of us need to live from day to day.

Sorry about the blurriness of the alien picture, if only we knew what they all look like. Those blurry pictures really disturb the credibility of their existence (or of those who describe their features). There's a guy sitting next to me (ish) who looks a little like Nicholas Cage. Funny, funny... and I wonder if anyone's ever told him that.

The end. I really need to get back to being productive. What a drag. Wait, maybe I should be more optimistic about things.
