wildflower
Something I love about running for eight or more miles at a time is that I can get far enough from my house along country roads to reach places I probably wouldn't hit in my car. Not with gas prices so high, not when they lead away from town. These are gorgeous, wild-flower garnered roads that make me forget things like finding cheap gasoline, or studying for that test coming up.
Tidbits found on the side of the road include: a steak knife, Taco Bell fire sauce.
Favorite hand-painted sign noticed: ONLY TRASH LITTERS. Can you deny it?
The news now is that I'm going for 13.1 miles, my first half-marathon, on Sunday in Wichita, KS. I'm praying I'll make it, and learn something from it. I'm getting very, very excited--and, of course, I'd appreciate prayers. We don't want any diabetic (or other) episodes.

Great job, B-Go! Just getting to the point of being able to run a 1/2 marathon is a milestone (ha!). No, really, it is quite a feat (ouch!). But seriously, we're proud of you.
Now go do that voodoo that you do so well!
Peace,
Taiko-ma
