neurotransmitters like ACh and NE or E

I'm taking voice lessons this semester and it feels like playing to practice. It takes effort not to work on music instead of Anatomy and Physiology. As a result, I'm only barely getting the physiology that goes with the nervous system. I need to work harder, I guess. And I need to pray for understanding.

Currently on: neurotransmitters and stimulation in the parasympathetic and sympathetic divisions of the autonomic nervous system, itself a division of the peripheral nervous system.

Oh, and I should mention that Sunday's race went well. I'm so glad I got to do it--and am very thankful for all of your thoughts and prayers. Nothing diabetic interfered, thankfully.

Somewhere along the first two miles, God gave me the okay to spark conversation with one of the runners (you can never be sure how someone will respond). I'm not sure how it came up, but Alina from Wichita shared her desire for missions and other bits of her faith/spiritual walk with me--and I with her. We ran 5 or 6 miles of the race together, and I think we'll stay in touch. How nice it is to be able to fellowship in Him with people we just meet--at races, no less.

As I've been studying Paul and his missionary journeys, I guess Paul's gift in bringing people together for godly purposes has rubbed off somewhat. We are one in spirit and serve one Lord, therefore it shouldn't surprize me to find communion and relationship in nontraditional places.

If I could, I'd be up in Michigan this weekend to fellowship and celebrate relationships at Megumi's wedding. Congratulations, Megumi and Jason!

The "good" news is that the ANS is very, very important in medicine. Knowing this stuff is the foundation for about 50% of pharmacology that you'll use.

Congrats on the race, as well.

    Peace,
